Sustainable Forest Management

Operations under the forest licence are certified to the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®) 2015-2019 Standards and Rules. KPMG Performance Registrar completes annual audits (surveillance and recertification audits) on these operations to assess the company’s success at meeting the Principles and Objectives of Sustainable Forestry, audit report.

Timber purchased by our Woodlands Team will abide by our Wood Procurement Program & Policy. Timber purchases are consistent with the requirements of the 2015-2019 SFI® Standard and are subject to similar audit requirements as the Forest License (section 2 versus section 3 of the 2015-2019 standards and rules).

WynnWood is a member of the Western Canada SFI® Implementation Committee.
