History

WynnWood has over 100 years of experience.

When Monrad Wigen started a small box factory at Wynndel, British Columbia, Canada in 1913, horses delivered logs to a portable mill, which supplied lumber to produce boxes and crates for the farmers and fruit producers. The portable mill was also used in the winter to cut railroad ties in the bush. Monrad was known as a man of vision.

He believed in reinvesting his profits to make a strong viable business, eventually building a permanent mill in Wynndel at the site it still stands today. The mill and logging operations have gone through many transformations and is thriving, producing some of the worlds highest quality boards. Wynndel Box and Lumber began doing business as WynnWood in 2014. We believe Monrad would be proud we are keeping his vision alive.
